Transgender Day of Remembrance

Thursday, November 20 | 7:30 p.m.

  • Georgia State Capitol
    206 Washington St. SW
    Atlanta, GA 30303

Please join HRC Atlanta in observance of National Transgender Day of Remembrance. Throughout the world, people gather this day every year to pay respect to those needlessly killed by hate crimes against the transgender community, and to call attention to the threat of violence faced by gender-variant people.

The program includes remarks by HRC Diversity Co-Chair James Davis, reflections from the community, and a candlelight vigil in front of the building to honor those who have been victims of violence. St Paul's own Rachel Wayte will be playing her guitar and singing at this event.
