Atlanta-based Airline Considered Perfect Employer for LGBT Workers

Delta, the world's largest airline, scored a perfect 100 in the 2010 Corporate Equality Index, an annual survey administered by the Human Rights Campaign. The rating distinguishes Delta as one of the country's best places to work for LGBT employees and recognizes the company's efforts within the LGBT community.

The HRC's 2010 index rated 590 businesses, evaluating LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination policies, transgender health benefits, domestic partner benefits, respectful marketing and LGBT community support.

"At the very core of Delta's values is a strong commitment to global diversity," said Mike Campbell, executive vice president of Human Resources and Labor Relations. "Achieving a 100 percent score on this year's HRC Corporate Equality Index reflects the inclusiveness of our workplace and acknowledges the deliberate steps we are taking to continue making Delta a great place to work for all of our employees worldwide."
